OMERO, standing for O(pen) M(icroscopy) E(nvironment) R(emote) O(bjects), is a microscopy imaging platform designed to handle over 150 file formats, including all the major microscope ones. Using Bio-Formats software to read the file formats and convert them to the OME data model standard, OMERO allows the user to view, organize, analyze, share and publish data worldwide. At CIBSS, we have built an OMERO Server to house the raw data of our publications, and are actively maintaining this server.

For ease of use of Omero, we have prepared a manual as an introduction. OME-Team is actively maintaining their documentation and have prepared their own guide for users. Both of these can be found under their official website.
