CIBSS-B

Metabolic and Multicellular Signalling

Elucidating how signals are propagated and are coordinated from the molecular level to the organismal scale

CIBSS forges new research directions addressing the mechanisms by which signalling processes are integrated with metabolic cues and other signals from outside and from inside the cell. This research elucidates how signalling, cellular metabolism and the development and organisation of tissues are reciprocally regulated, and how metabolism shapes cellular differentiation directions or responses to external challenges. CIBSS-B projects also study how signals are propagated from the molecular and cellular scales to the tissue and organismal levels in order to achieve multicellular organization and orchestrate development and tissue repair.
