CRISPR/Cas9-based QF2 knock-in at the tyrosine hydroxylase (th) locus reveals novel th-expressing neuron populations in the zebrafish mid- and hindbrain
We generated a CRISPR/Cas9-based knock-in at the th locus to express the Q-system transcription factor QF2 in zebrafish dopaminergic neurons, and identify previously not described neuron groups. The QF2 driver line is an important tool for genetic and optogenetic manipulation dopaminergic neurons.
