The endeavor to integrate data and information from multiple sources and scales, demands for novel analyses and modelling approaches. In particular, methods and strategies for the analysis of omics data need to be derived as there is only preliminary methodology for multi-omics integration. In addition, there is a lack of analysis guidelines and generic strategies for optimal handling of data form different techniques and sources.

In our project, we develop and improve methods of mathematical modelling, bioinformatics and statistical analyses and apply them in collaboration projects. In close collaboration with experimental partners, we assess the performance of existing approaches and derive guidelines for the optimal choice between competing algorithms. In addition, we aim to have regular consultations and discussions to share our expertise on these topics with the entire CIBSS based on the needs in practice. Through these efforts, we will continue to address bottlenecks and requirements for integrative data analysis and modelling of signaling processes.
