In this paper, inhibitors are developed targeting IP3 kinase (Arg1) in pathogenic fungi, such as cryptococcus neoformans. The inhibitors are based on a purine scaffold with diverse modifications and inhibit fungal growth at low MIC50 values while working synergistically with amphotericin B.
