Muscle function and homeostasis require cytokine inhibition of AKT activity in Drosophila
The immune system helps animals fend off infections, but also itp control the body’s metabolism – the chemical reactions that sustain life. Our study showed that, even in healthy animals, complex interactions are required between the immune system and the metabolism to sustain tissue function.
