A computational analysis of endogenous and recombinant Physcomitrella proteins reveals amino acid patterns favoring prolyl-hydroxylation, crucial for plant O-glycosylation. Since this glycosylation triggers human immune signalling, this knowledge helps to avoid it in plant-made pharmaceuticals.
